The Design
Washi Paper Spherical Pendant Light — a hand-wrapped mulberry paper globe on a slim metal frame, in 11 sizes from 11.8″ to 47.2″. Soft, diffused light for Japandi and warm modern rooms.
The reason people choose a paper shade is the light. Bare bulbs and glass globes throw a hard, direct glare; mulberry paper spreads that same bulb into a soft, even, candle-warm wash across the whole sphere — no hot spot, no harsh edge. Off, it's a clean round silhouette; on, it's the warmest light in the room.
Size is where most people get stuck, so the range is wide on purpose. The 30A–50A globes (11.8″–19.7″) suit bedsides, reading corners, and small dining nooks. The 55A–70A (21.7″–27.5″) fit standard dining tables and living rooms. The 75A–120A (29.5″–47.2″) are for stairwells, entryways, and vaulted or double-height ceilings. Every size is the same hand-wrapped paper and the same warm glow.
It runs on a standard E26/E27 bulb at 110–240V, hardwired by default with a plug-in cord option for renters.

Considered in Every Fiber
The Quiet Case for a Paper Shade
Most modern pendants have settled on glass and metal — frosted globes, brass arms, blackened steel. They photograph well and mass-produce cleanly, which is exactly why so many rooms end up looking alike. A paper shade does the opposite: fiber texture, a soft matte surface, and a warmth you can read from across the room.
The difference is clearest once it's lit. A glass globe pushes light through a hard, uniform surface. Hand-wrapped mulberry paper filters it through countless natural fibers, softening the bulb into an even, candle-like glow with no hot glare point — the whole globe lights up gently rather than shining straight at the room.
That's why the paper globe sits so easily in Japandi, minimalist, Scandinavian, and warm modern interiors — spaces built around material warmth as much as light. It reads as a sculptural presence when off, and a source of quiet, restful atmosphere when on.
Built for the Journey, Easy to Hang
Paper pendants have a reputation for arriving crushed. This one doesn't — it ships folded and cushioned, then opens into a clean round shade in seconds.
The shade travels folded flat inside a firm, padded box, so it's protected from the knocks that leave most paper lanterns dented or torn before they're even unpacked.
Ease the folded shade open by hand until it holds its full round shape — there are no parts to build or frames to slot together. From there it installs like any ceiling pendant: fit the bulb, connect the cord, and mount it to the ceiling.
Hardwired for a clean ceiling-mount look, or add a plug-in cord if you rent or don't have a junction box. The cord adjusts so you can hang it at the right height, and we can make it longer on request.
A Sculptural Form by Day, a Warm Glow by Night
Switched off, the paper globe still earns its place — a soft, round shape that looks intentional in daylight, not like a lamp waiting to be turned on. The matte mulberry-paper surface catches light softly instead of reflecting it back.
Switched on, the whole globe fills with an even, candle-like glow. Because the light passes through countless natural paper fibers rather than a hard glass surface, there is no harsh glare point — just a warm wash of light that makes a dining table, bedroom, or reading corner feel calm and inviting. For the warmest effect, pair it with a 2700K–3000K warm-white LED or Edison bulb.
Eleven Sizes, One for Every Room
From a compact bedside globe to an oversized foyer statement — every size shares the same hand-wrapped mulberry paper and soft, even glow.
Add your room's length and width in feet, then read that total in inches as a rough guide to globe diameter. For a dining table, aim for a globe about half to two-thirds of the table's longest side. Between two sizes? Go larger — an undersized globe reads as an afterthought, an oversized one reads as intentional.
Washi Paper Globe Pendant Light Size Guide
From bedrooms to public spaces, different diameters create a distinct sense of scale for every setting.
